This buyout would reduce the cap hit of Greene's contract from $2.5 million to $833,000 next season. The 34-year-old, who has been rehabbing from back surgery, was activated Tuesday for the specific purpose of this buyout. Greene hasn't collected more than 10 points in a season since 2011, so freeing up that cap space was an easy decision for the Kings.
