Quick Play for Beginners

We recommend a quick play game for beginners, as this is the easiest type of contest to join. On the Quick Play screen you will find a number of player match ups. Pick your players based on the lines that are offered. You will need to pick a minimum of 2 player match ups to start a new contest.

If the players you pick beat the opposing players, you win your contest for a payout of 3 to 1! The more players you choose for your contest, the more you win! It’s that simple.

More/Less

Do you think your favorite player will score more or less than the number we show? Just pick 2 players and whether each will go over or under. If you are right, you get a 3-1 payout on the contest you create! Create a contest with more players and your payout will go up. You could start winning in less than 10 minutes! No salary caps to worry about.

Pick ‘Em

Our pick ‘em contests are designed for more advanced players. With these contests you will need to create your matchups and then pick which player you think will beat another. The big advantage here is you can create ANY matchup you like and then play it out for real money.

We base our scoring off fantasy points. This is a measure of the real life player performance for each athlete. Athletes earn Fantasy Points for positive and negative real life game contributions. For example, an NFL athlete might get 3  Fantasy Points for making a Field goal with less than 39 yards to go. A field goal with 50 yards or more will get an athlete 5  Fantasy Points. If an athlete misses a field goal, they will lose 1  Fantasy Points. If an athlete were to have only contributed in those 3 manners in a single game, he would get 3+5-1= 7 Fantasy Points. Fantasy Points are the basis for all our contests. Fantasy Points are calculated differently based on the sport and the player's position. Here you can see how we arrive at our total Fantasy Points. For Athlete VS Athlete match ups, we also include a handicap or line for each PFP, which players must overcome in order to win.

For example, one "match up" within a contest might be: LeBron James from the Lakers vs Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors. In our example we will place LeBron at 35 PFP -3 and Draymond at 32 PFP +3. This would mean LeBron is the favorite and would need to score 38 PFP points to cover the -3 handicap. If LeBron were to score 34 Fantasy Points and Draymond 33, Draymond would win due to the handicap, as the adjusted results would become Lebron 34-3 = 31 and Draymond 33+3= 36.
 
DFP: This refers to Dober Fantasy Points. This number represents the average Fantasy Points per game that an Athlete obtains over the course of a season. This number helps users understand what to expect from an athlete in terms of general performance and based on this, you can see if Dober believes the Athlete will do better or worse than his season average.

Play Cards with one (1) push or void play will be reverted down to the previous payout structure. If the original play card has three matchups and one of the athletes is a scratch,  that matchup is eliminated and the play card gets reverted to the two matchup structure. If a scratch occurs in a two matchup play, that play is automatically refunded regardless of the outcome of the remaining matchup. 

You will need to select 2 player matchups on your play card before you can initiate a new contest. You can create play cards with up to 20 players maximum.

(Colorado law requires a minimum of four (4) matchups per play card)

At Dober we want to maximize the number of times you can win! So we allow mixed sports contest.  Within a match up, the two players must be from the same sport, but within a play card, you can have mutilple sports used.

Well....

Upon confirmation of contests, all money being risked is deemed final. There can be no refunds or withdrawals from any contests.

Insurance is a way to create a contest that pays out if your existing contest doesn’t. Insurance contests are a separate contest to your main one, and are graded separately. You get to choose between two types of insurance:

Lose One:

With this insurance play, you win your insurance if your get all but 1 selection right. Lose One insurance is only available for plays with 4 or more matches. The payout for this is the same as your regular play card, minus one match up. Meaning, that if you have a 4 team match up, which pays out 10 to 1, and you take a lose one insurance contests, you will win 6 to 1, which is what a 3 match up contest pays.

Lose All:

With this insurance play, if every pick you make misses, you win your insurance contest. The payout for this is the same as your regular contests. So if you take a 4 match up contest, which pays out 10 to 1, and you take a lose all insurance, your insurance contest will pay out 10 to 1.

We offer a wide variety of contests for all types of players. Our minimum contest participation fee is $1. Our maximum is $1,000. Given that players stay within our Responsible Gaming Standards, we have no limit as to the amount that can be played.
