Oilers defensemen were dropping like flies in Friday's thrilling double-overtime loss to the Ducks, but Sekera was just one of four blueliners that didn't ultimately return to the game -- he left six minutes into the first period after getting plastered into the boards by Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf. Sekera is a talented two-way rearguard with shot-blocking skills, and losing him -- if it does come to that -- would probably be detrimental to an Edmonton squad that needs to win the next two games to advance to the conference finals.
