The Atlanta Falcons are heading to the playoffs, and they have their superstars to thank.
The Falcons took care of business in their home finale, beating the Carolina Panthers 22-10 to clinch the No. 6 seed in the NFC and eliminate Seattle.
Devonta Freeman was stymied on this day on the ground, running for just 23 yards on 11 carries. However, he was the man of the hour as a receiver, catching nine passes for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu all had good days at the office for the Atlanta passing game. The hero, though, was Matt Bryant. His 56-yard field goal with 6:37 remaining in the game stretched the Falcons' lead out to two scores, and they never had to look back from there.
Bryant went 5-for-5 on field goals, tallying a massive 19 Dober Fantasy Points.
The Panthers never looked overly interested in this game. Cam Newton started 0-for-9 passing before finally rallying Carolina on a 16-play touchdown drive in the second quarter. He threw three picks and didn't even complete half of his passes.
Still, Atlanta was easily the better team in this game, holding the Panthers to effectively just two really good drives for the entire game.
