Following Sunday's win against the 49ers, it was revealed that Jackson intended to visit a specialist in New York to have his lingering thumb injury examined. It's unclear if he proceed with that plan, however, as Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times noted prior to Wednesday's practice that the wideout may have opted against the visit. Either way, it's a positive sign that Jackson is attempting to participate in the Buccaneers' first practice of the week, which bolsters his chances of suiting up this weekend against the Panthers. Wednesday's injury report will reveal his activity level during the session.
