The New Orleans Saints had to backdoor their way to the NFC South title. They were beaten by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-24 in Week 17 but still won the division thanks to Atlanta beating Carolina in a game running concurrently.
Jameis Winston might have thrown three picks in his last game of the season, but he was certainly a gamer all the way to the end. Winston threw for 363 yards and the touchdown that ultimately won the game to Chris Godwin with 0:09 left in the game.
Godwin and Adam Humphries both went over 100 receiving yards, one of the rare games this season in which any man not named Mike Evans reached triple-digits in receiving.
The final stats for the Saints never looked like they were good enough to win. Alvin Kamara beat his Projected Fantasy Points total, including scoring a touchdown as a kick returner, but Mark Ingram was nowhere to be found for much of the game, running for 35 yards and catching four passes for 19 yards.
Michael Thomas had a solid last game of the regular season for New Orleans, catching six balls for 94 yards.
