Wentz isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason finale, and his window of opportunity to gain clearance for Week 1 is narrowing in advance of the season opener Sept. 6 against Atlanta. The 25-year-old has already acknowledged that his Week 1 availability will be a close call, with the final decision likely being made by the Eagles' medical staff. The team has a capable (and healthy) backup in Nick Foles, who seems to have the coaching staff's trust despite looking lost this preseason.
