
Rhodes was carted off the field with what appeared to be a significant injury, but coach Mike Zimmer downplayed the severity of the star cornerback's setback, saying the ankle issue "doesn't seem like a big deal." If Zimmer's assessment proves correct, it would come as a welcome relief to a Minnesota secondary that recently lost rookie first-round pick Mike Hughes to a season-ending ACL tear. Rhodes' participation in practice next week will bear monitoring in order to determine his eventual status for the Vikings' next game Oct. 28 against the Saints.
