The Arizona Cardinals were already in hot water with Carson Palmer under center. They're in even deeper doggie doo without him.
A 33-0 loss to the Los Angeles Rams was the new low point of the season for the Cardinals. Palmer was taken out of the game due to an arm injury, and we won't know just how serious that is until the team gets back to the United States.
About the only good thing to say for Arizona is that it has a bye next week. It just seems as though the offense took that bye a week early.
Drew Stanton was no better than Palmer, going just 5-for-14 for 62 yards with an interception. Parlay that with a dud of a day from Adrian Peterson in his second game in a Cardinals uniform, and it's easy to see how this game turned into a shutout.
At least there were a few players to rave about on the Rams.
Todd Gurley had yet another great game, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown and adding another 48 yards as a receiver. He and Cooper Kupp both had fantastic days to beat their Projected Fantasy Points totals.
Los Angeles held the ball for 39:01 and limited the Cards to just 10 first downs.
Arizona became the first team this season to not have a single player amass five Dober Fantasy Points. As a team, the Cardinals combined for just 29.52 DFP.
