Vikings at Packers Start 'Em / Sit 'Em

Saturday night will feature a classic NFC North battle when the Minnesota Vikings head to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.

At 11-3, the Vikings wrapped up a playoff berth and the NFC North crown in Week 15 with a win against the Bengals. Minnesota is one of the most complete teams in the league, and with the injury to Carson Wentz, it has legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.

With Aaron Rodgers back in the fold, Green Bay is a completely different team. It packs a punch on offense and is never out of a game. However, Rodgers’ return was too little too late, as the Packers sit at 7-7 and have been eliminated from the playoffs.

Start 'Em: Case Keenum (17.5 PFP)
Dober Fantasy Points Per Game: 18.32

Possibly the most surprising quarterback of the 2017 season, Case Keenum has been one of the best players at the position after a career mired in mediocrity. His TD/INT ratio of 18/7 certainly could be a fluke, but we’re betting into the hot streak in a game that could see a bunch of points.

Keenum has scored more than 17.2 Dober Fantasy Points four times in his last six games. Meanwhile, Green Bay has given up 17.3 DFP or more in each of its last four games. Dober Fantasy players can target Keenum with confidence even at a relatively high Projected Fantasy Points total.

Sit 'Em: Adam Thielen (15.0 PFP)
Dober Fantasy Points Per Game: 14.73

Though Adam Thielen has been absolutely incredible this season, 15.0 Dober Fantasy Points is a lot to ask of the undrafted receiver out of Minnesota State-Mankato. He’s eclipsed 12.9 DFP just once in his last four games, coinciding with a surge in productivity from Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph and the Minnesota running game.

The Vikings have a deep and talented group of skill position players that are getting healthy and rounding into form, so Thielen isn’t going to be asked to carry the load like he did during his three-game hot streak. We recommend fading Thielen as he attempts to break out of his month-long slump.

Start 'Em: Aaron Rodgers (19.0 PFP)
Dober Fantasy Points Per Game: 18.94

Coming back from an eight-week absence, Aaron Rodgers was predictably rusty in Week 15. Even so, he put up 21.6 Dober Fantasy Points in a difficult road game against a good Carolina defense.

Now playing in his first home game since Week 4, Rodgers will be looking for revenge against the defense that derailed his season by breaking his collarbone.

Rodgers has more than 19.0 DFP in each of his last four complete games, and while the Minnesota defense is as good as its reputation, Rodgers eviscerated this unit for 37.18 DFP at home in Week 15 last season. He probably won’t get near that number this week, but he should still do enough to get over 19.0 DFP.

Sit 'Em: Jordy Nelson (9.5 PFP)
Dober Fantasy Points Per Game: 7.72

One popular theory about Jordy Nelson’s poor fantasy production over the last eight weeks is that he didn’t have chemistry with Brett Hundley. However, Aaron Rodgers returned in Week 15, and Nelson caught three of six targets for 28 yards.

After putting up five 100-yard games last season, Jordy doesn’t have a single game this season with more than 79 yards. At 32-years-old, it’s possible that Nelson has lost a step. No matter the reason, Nelson has scored more than 9.5 Dober Fantasy Points just three times this season, and he hasn’t done so since Week 4.

Better days are ahead, but against Xavier Rhodes, we don’t think that this is the game for Nelson to start looking like his old self.
