Allison was listed as a limited participant Thursday with a lingering hamstring injury, but it's possible he injured his groin after practice started. His status for Week 9 against the Patriots is murky at best now that he's dealing with the two setbacks, though it's worth noting he returned from a two-game absence due to a concussion and the same hamstring issue to play in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Rams. His participation at Friday's practice -- or lack thereof -- should provide a clue toward his availability for the weekend. If Allison is unable to go, that would likely result in more snaps for rookie wideouts Marquez Valdes-Scantling and/or Equanimeous St. Brown.
