Turkey Day is upon us, and that means football, football and more football!
There's plenty to be thankful for this year, but Dober Fantasy players should be most appreciative of these DFS sleeper picks that can give you winners on your Dober Play Card to kick off Week 12.
Theo Riddick (7.08 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Vikings: 6.5
We were high on Theo Riddick last week, and we're going to be all up in his grill again on Turkey Day against the Vikings.
Ameer Abdullah's recent fantasy success has really quelled a lot of the belief that Riddick can be a top-tier back. We know that the Notre Dame product's usage isn't great, but he's a man who does a lot more catching the ball out of the backfield than anything else.
Last season against the Vikes on Turkey Day, Riddick posted a winning mark of 8.30 Dober Fantasy Points. We expect a similar number this time around, especially if the Lions are playing from behind.
David Morgan (1.19 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Lions: 0.5
We're definitely in deep sleeper land with David Morgan, but he's surprisingly beat his Projected Fantasy Points total in three straight games. Against numbers this low, it isn't going to take much for Morgan to be a winner on your Dober Play Card.
Though Morgan is a second tight end behind Kyle Rudolph and is primarily a run-blocker, the fact that he's been on the field for an average of 34.3 snaps per game over the course of the last three weeks tells us that there are going to be opportunities.
Case Keenum's careful nature has seen him get the ball in Morgan's hands at least once in three straight games, and it's reasonable to think this will be his fourth consecutive one with a positive fantasy output.
Mike Williams (2.58 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Cowboys: 4.5
Mike Williams's usage is getting higher and higher with each passing game. He was on the field for a career-high 41 snaps in last week's romp of the Bills, and he had five catches on eight targets for 38 yards.
Travis Benjamin has been banged up and hasn't practiced this week, and there's a decent chance he'll be a DNP. Even if he isn't, opportunity is knocking for the rookie from Clemson to announce his arrival on Thanksgiving night.
Alfred Morris (3.04 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Chargers: 6.5
Alfred Morris really doesn't qualify as a "sleeper" any longer in fantasy circles, but he's up against a "sleeper-like" 6.5 PFP on Thanksgiving.
Running backs are consistently undervalued against the Chargers, and we don't get it. This team has the worst rush defense in the NFL, and even on a day when the Bills were pummeled last week, LeSean McCoy was still easily over 100 yards on just 13 carries.
Morris only has to get 65 yards or find the end zone to beat his PFP, and it's hard to see how Los Angeles is going to keep him under his tally.
Roger Lewis (4.26 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Redskins: 4.5
You've probably heard by now that the Giants aren't very good. You've also probably heard that their wide receivers resemble those on an Arena Football League team instead of an actual NFL roster.
Amazingly, no one has really emerged from this receiving corps to post a solid season even with both Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham Jr. out for the year.
With Sterling Shepard ill and potentially set to miss Thursday’s tilt against Washington, Roger Lewis is the most likely candidate to step up and at least have a respectable night at the office. His big catch in overtime set up last week's win, and that might be just the confidence Eli Manning needs to make him a consistent and viable fantasy option.
Samaje Perine (5.36 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Giants: 8.0
This PFP total is a little high to be calling Perine a "sleeper," but we don't see any way he doesn't get enough usage in this game to smash this number as he did last week when he was worth 20.1 DFP against New Orleans.
With Chris Thompson done for the season and Rob Kelley still out, Perine is the only healthy back on the roster from the beginning of the year. Considering the fact that this is a short week for Jay Gruden, bringing in someone off the streets and getting him ready to step into the backfield in this game isn't an option. The 'Skins are going to live and die with what Perine does against the Giants.
