Ezekiel Elliott might ultimately be suspended Monday after the appeals court hears his next attempt at overturning Roger Goodell's six-game suspension. If this was the end of Zeke for the next month and a half, he sure went out with sound and fury.
After losing a fumble on his first carry, Elliott ran the ball 33 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns, literally taking this game into his own hands in a Dallas Cowboys 33-19 victory over the Washington Redskins. Elliott was the only Cowboy to account for even 40 yards in Week 8 as he touched the ball on 34 of Dallas' 63 snaps.
The Redskins have more questions than answers right now. They simply haven't been able to run the football at all behind a banged-up offensive line. This week's effort totaled just 49 yards on 15 carries.
The offensive line has been in shambles for the 'Skins all year, and losing Shawn Lauvao only leaves five healthy linemen on this roster who started the year with Washington. They were without three starters Sunday, and Lauvao made it four.
The Redskins also lost both Niles Paul and Jordan Reed to injuries, leaving Vernon Davis as the only healthy tight end on the roster.
