Selected No. 7 overall in the 2015 draft, White missed his entire rookie campaign with a broken right tibia, and then sat out the final 12 games of last season due to a broken fibula in the same leg. He caught 19 passes for 187 yards in his four appearances, with his 35 targets over that span easily topping Alshon Jeffery's 25. With Jeffery departing for Philadelphia in the offseason, White and 2015 breakout star Cameron Meredith are expected to take over as the starting wideouts, though free-agent additions Markus Wheaton and Kendall Wright could also be heavily involved. Mike Glennon will direct the new-look Chicago offense, which likely will place a heavy emphasis on its Jordan Howard-led rushing attack. There's plenty of competition for targets in an offense that doesn't figure to post huge passing numbers, but White does have real potential to emerge as the go-to receiver, boasting the physical tools of a high-end No. 1 wideout. He should be fully recovered for training camp and may even participate in a sizable portion of the team's offseason program.
