Buccaneers at Panthers Fantasy Recap (Week 16, 2017)

Cam Newton very much so earned his victory lap around Bank of America Stadium in Week 16. He led the Carolina Panthers down the field for the game-winning touchdown to clinch a playoff spot with a 22-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jameis Winston had a fantastic day for the Bucs, going 21-for-27 for 367 yards and a touchdown. His third fumble of the game with just seconds remaining cost the team the affair, and after the fumble, he went after officials who made the ruling on the field. There's a good chance Winston is either suspended or benched for his outburst for the season finale against the Saints.

Tampa Bay was easily the better of the two teams on this day. But as was the case for so much of this season, the Buccaneers couldn't finish the job.

Newton didn't beat his Projected Fantasy Points total, but it was his rushing touchdown on a busted play that sent Carolina into the postseason.

Damiere Byrd was a hero for the Panthers as well. His kick return for a touchdown in the second was Carolina's only touchdown of the game until the team's last drive.
