While meeting with reporters Monday, McDermott said that Benjamin, who sat out the Week 12 win over the Chiefs, was day-to-day with the knee issue and implied that the wide receiver didn't have a torn meniscus. McDermott apparently misunderstood the question a member of the media asked him, however, as the team later clarified the nature of Benjamin's injury. Though the day-to-day timetable implies that Benjamin could suit up Week 13 against the Patriots, the fact that he's dealing with a meniscus tear suggests he may actually be closer to week-to-week in his recovery. Either way, Benjamin's participation -- or lack thereof -- in practice this week will provide a better indication of his health heading into the divisional matchup.
