Dixon has already spent more than the minimum eight weeks on injured reserve, so he'll be eligible to return to the active roster at any point over the next three weeks now that he's back practicing again. With three veteran running backs already on the Balitmore roster, Dixon's role would be uncertain if he's ultimately activated from IR. The Louisiana Tech product did draw 28 snaps in Week 1 while Javorius Allen took 38 and Alex Collins handled 34, so there's a good chance Dixon factors into the mix in some fashion once he's ready to go.
