With the Mavericks now eliminated from playoff contention and opening up a back-to-back set Tuesday, it appears coach Rick Carlisle is considering holding out some of his high-minute regulars. Along with Barnes, J.J. Barea is also listed as questionable for rest purposes, while veteran swingman Wesley Matthews has already been ruled out. If Barnes joins Matthews on the sideline, the likes of Dorian Finney-Smith, Devin Harris and Nicolas Brussino would be the main beneficiaries of added playing time, with two of those three perhaps in line to join the starting five.
