Phillips returned to the lineup for the first time since Sept. 4. Sunday after missing time with a shoulder injury, going 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts. He'll head back to the bench for Monday's series opener as the Royals look to ease him back into action, with Jorge Bonifacio covering right field in his stead.
