Overshadowed a bit on his own team by double-play partner Jose Ramirez in 2017, Francisco Lindor was widely regarded as the most talented player on the field during the Cleveland Indians run to Game 7 of the World Series in 2016. Lindor is known more for the glove than the bat, but he can produce Dober Fantasy Points at the plate, too. He’s an above-average hitter with additional upside. He’s already hit over .300 in a full major league season and has a 33-homer campaign to his name as well.

2017: The 2017 season was an interesting one in the development of Lindor. At the age of 23, he more than doubled his home run production from 2016, slamming 33 jacks and increased the number of doubles to 44. In total, he went from 48 extra-base hits in 2016 to 81 in 2017. Lindor saw a 70-point bump in his slugging percentage, which rose to .505. While the power increased, his averaged and OBP both dropped. After batting .301 in 2016, he hit just .273 in 2017 and had a solid yet unspectacular .337 OBP. Lindor’s strikeout numbers also went up as he made less contact, but he did more damage when he did connect. While the added power brought less contact, it didn’t really impact his stolen base numbers. He still swiped 15 bags, in line with the 19 he stole in 2016.
