Baseball is arguably in a bit of a golden age with so many superstars emerging in their 20s. Mike Trout is one of the best of the bunch, and he's consistently been one of the best all-around players in the game since he busted onto the MLB scene in 2011. Trout went 30/40 in his first year in the bigs and hasn't looked back. Now, he's one of the game's most consistent producers of Dober Fantasy Points.
2017: The always-consistent Trout missed his first extended action of his career thanks to a thumb injury in 2017, but he still was one of the top assets at Dober Games when he was on the field. Even though he only played in 114 games, Trout still blasted 33 home runs and stole 22 bases. Projected over a regular 158 games or so, Trout would have scored 126 runs, racked up 84 extra base hits, hit 45 home runs, driven in 100 men and stole 30 bases. There aren't many in the game that can boast stats that are even remotely comparable. Trout averaged 10.13 Dober Fantasy Points per game in 2017, numbers that put him in starting pitcher territory instead of just those of your average position player.
